> For more details, you can check our ***Copyright, Trademark, and Content Ownership*** section [here](https://appery.io/terms-of-use).

## Creating App from Template

1. From the **[Apps](https://docs.appery.io/docs/general-platform-overview#apps-tab-managing-projects)** tab, click **Create new app**.
2. Select **DeepSeek** from the list of templates.

<Image align="center" className="border" border={true} src="https://files.readme.io/56d3861d797a4688af4db068bcc4b95e584517cb1c25c6ea33bcda2573bc135b-Image_27.02.2025_at_23.14.jpeg" />

3. Enter the name for your project (for example, ***DeepSeek***), and click the **Create** button.
4. In a few moments, refresh the browser tab to see that the app will be created, and you can open it.\
   The first thing you can see is our **[App Builder](https://docs.appery.io/docs/apperyio-visual-builder)** **[Educational Video Guide](https://docs.appery.io/docs/general-getting-started-ionic-5#apperyio-educational-video-guide)** page with the **[Project View](https://docs.appery.io/docs/apperyio-visual-builder#project-view)** section on the left where all the predefined project data can be found.

<Image align="center" className="border" border={true} src="https://files.readme.io/f3daa478f7005b3be943a0472a89eabd00faa5ce55b009f20d12d6d4bcde136b-Image_27.02.2025_at_21.45.jpg" />

> 🚧 Note!
>
> If you are launching your project for the first time, please allow some time for the app preview to load.

## Setting API Key

Copy the ***API key*** you generated on the [DeepSeek platform](https://platform.deepseek.com/) and paste it into the ***API Key*** field of your app:

<Image align="center" className="border" border={true} src="https://files.readme.io/0c1d98674c1d64973400f3124c281b990caaab878784d82a19d8558fc247d82c-Image_27.02.2025_at_22.12.jpg" />

# Testing App

Actually, you are ready to test the template.\
Click the **TEST** button in the app **[Toolbar](https://docs.appery.io/docs/apperyio-visual-builder#toolbar)**; you will be redirected to the tab with the app preview.

<Image align="center" className="border" border={true} src="https://files.readme.io/09aca08f6882951e556b1bae83af629befbc433f9a59b208145df4eca36abfa8-Image_27.02.2025_at_21.53.jpg" />

Enter your question and get the answer:

## Using DeepSeek for Text Translation

Now, let's update the app’s routing and set the initial page to **translation**.

<Image align="center" className="border" border={true} src="https://files.readme.io/739d1cd47796cbf092d441b6d26e6186575caea9cce0bd535da451a430aaeecb-Image_28.02.2025_at_10.08.jpg" />

Now, try testing the updated app:

1. Type the word “Home.”
2. Click **TRANSLATE**.
3. Watch as the app translates “Home” into Spanish!

<Image align="center" className="border" width="30% " border={true} src="https://files.readme.io/a2f3c2a1769278414f40e34f4b9756066c2d52b59dd701d054e7f79c228553e9-Image_28.02.2025_at_10.23.jpeg" />

This is how simple it is to use DeepSeek AI to handle text processing tasks like translation.

## Testing on Device

When your app version is ready and you like its resulting UI, you might also like to [test](https://docs.appery.io/docs/9-testing-your-app) it on the device.

> 👍 Appery.io **Tester App**
>
> A great option to quickly test the app on the device (including resting the text-to-speech and speech-to-text options) is to use our **Appery.io Tester** app.\
> The app is free and available for both [iOS](https://apps.apple.com/app/id737478069) and [Android](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=io.appery.tester\&hl=en).\
> You can check out [this](https://docs.appery.io/docs/apperyio-tester-app) page to learn more about using the **Appery.io Tester** app.

> 🚧 Hiding *Controls menu*
>
> To test the app using the **Appery.io Tester** app, you will need to [hide](https://docs.appery.io/docs/apperyio-tester-app#hiding-controls-menu) the **Controls menu** by first clicking the main control **a** button and then selecting the third icon (**Four arrows pointing inwards**) on the menu. In the modal screen, click **OK** to confirm:

# Exporting App

When your final app version is ready, you might like to proceed with exporting your app for\
[Android](https://docs.appery.io/docs/appexport-android#binary-app) or [iOS](https://docs.appery.io/docs/appexport-ios) with further installation it on a device.

> 👍 Selecting Build Type
>
> Before you can proceed with exporting your app, go to **Project view > Project > App settings > Android binary/iOS binary** to select the **Release** build type (**Debug** is the default type for both and can be used for testing purposes only):
>
> If the **[Release and Publish](https://docs.appery.io/docs/appexport-ios#release-and-publish-building)** type is selected under the **iOS binary** tab, building the release app version will be performed together with publishing it to the *[App Store](https://www.apple.com/app-store/)*.

<Image align="center" className="border" border={true} src="https://files.readme.io/a605644f0c35091cd2668ab2b08db1f696c9d2a43bf0300099e8144355937c77-Screenshot_2025-02-27_at_21.54.45.jpg" />

> 📘
>
> Please check this step-by-step [Appery.io YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/@apperyio) video to learn how you can develop an iOS mobile app with [Appery.io](https://appery.io) right in the browser using a Windows desktop.\
> Also, you will learn how to install it on an iPhone for testing and then publish it to the *[App Store](https://www.apple.com/app-store/)*:

<HTMLBlock>{`
<iframe width="610" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/RsdhQes0A5Y" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>
`}</HTMLBlock>

> 📘 Important Note!
>
> Please, note that before you can export the app, the app certificates must be imported or automatically generated (in the case of Android).\
> You can check [this](https://docs.appery.io/docs/appexport-ios) document in case you need help with exporting your application for iOS.\
> [Here](https://docs.appery.io/docs/appexport-android#android-certificate-file), you will find information on generating certificates for Android.\
> Note as well that starting from *August 2021*, new apps are required to publish with the [Android App Bundle](https://developer.android.com/guide/app-bundle) (`.aab`) on Google Play.\
> Please read more [here](https://developer.android.com/guide/app-bundle).\
> You can also check this Appery.io Community video that shows how to create Android and iOS certificates:

<HTMLBlock>{`
<iframe width="610" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/aMS4T0snEeA" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>
`}</HTMLBlock>

> 🚧 Managing Build Error ***The certificate file is not set***
>
> If this is your first app created with [Appery.io](https://appery.io) you will most likely get the error signifying about missing certificates that will prevent you from successfully finishing the build process.\
> The error reads similarly for both binary types and indicates that you should set the corresponding certificate before starting a new build.\
> If this notification is what you see after starting your build, please check out the [this](https://docs.appery.io/docs/appexport-certificate-management) document about certificate management that explains how to add the needed certificate to your project:

1. After the needed certificates have been added to your app all you need to do is to wait for the bundle to be created.
2. Now, you need to select the format you prefer (you are also free to build both if you need) to start building your project:

<Image align="center" className="border" border={true} src="https://files.readme.io/ea084b98815aeb12c232872601c335012d96ef6c652de20898f5afd24c82c7ec-Image_27.02.2025_at_21.58.jpg" />

3. Once your project is generated, you will see the QR-Code that you can use to upload the application to your device (or save the file for further use).

Then, install the app on your device and enjoy the result of your customization efforts.

# Publishing App

Any app that you build in Appery.io can be [published](https://docs.appery.io/docs/publish) as a mobile web app. This means the app will be hosted on a server and can be accessed from any browser on a mobile device:

<Image align="center" className="border" border={true} src="https://files.readme.io/42b0b2a4139da94e751b5499111a2122fae47a2f0b694d11f1ff66e6ce991229-Image_27.02.2025_at_22.01.jpg" />

Also, you are free to add the published app to any site of your choice as a widget.\
Please check [this](https://deepseek.app.appery.io/#/translation) link to see what it will look like.

Below is the sample code you can use for embedding the app [published on Appery.io](https://docs.appery.io/docs/publish#publishing-on-apperyio) as a widget:

```html
<script>
  var script = document.createElement('script');
  script.type = 'text/javascript';
  script.src = 'https://app.appery.io/aio_deepseeek_widget.js';
  script.onload = function() {
    window.aioChatWidget.init({
      frameUrl: "https://deepseek.app.appery.io/",
      // buttonColor: "blue",
      // buttonTextColor: "red",
      // buttonImgUrl: "https://appery.io/app/resources/img/mobileframe/favicon-192x192.png",
      preload: true,
      // autoOpen: 5000,
      // position: "top_right",
    });
  }
  document.head.appendChild(script);
</script>
```

where:

* `frameUrl`: '', // the iframe url;
* `buttonColor`: '#4DC95B', // css color. The button color for the chat button (if set to default, the button image is used) and close button;
* `buttonTextColor`: '#FFFFFF', // css color. The button text color for the chat button (if set to default, the button image is used) and close button;
* `buttonImgUrl`: '', // custom image for the button, if not set, then the default `.svg` image is used;
* `preload`: false, // if set to true - add iframe `src` on init (load *frameUrl* immediately), otherwise, the iframe will be loaded only after opening;
* `autoOpen`: 0, // ms. If 0 - do not open;
* `position`: "bottom\_right" // bottom\_right, bottom\_left, top\_right, top\_left.
